Here is a report from Ken Sturdivant sent out By Jeff Durniak from DNR:
"Stripers are ready to break loose on top as the water cools. There has not been any top water yet. Live bait will work and the fish are still deep
during the day. Try both flat lines out 50 feet with blue backs and also go deep fishing too. On the flat line, run a bobber on your line 10 feet
above a 6 foot leader of 12 pound Fluorocarbons and small hooks. Try and get these baits as shallow as ten feet on main lake humps, points and reef
markers."
"Look for stripers in the mouth of Bald Ridge Creek and back around Bald Ridge marker #5. Watch that Lowrance and you may see the fish dead on
the bottom at 60 feet all day. On down lines and a 12 pound fluorocarbon leader on a small red bait hook and a 6 foot leader and a 2 ounce sinker. Drop
the baits on a clear bottom and then reel them up 6 feet. The secret here is to sit dead still to keep the baits from swimming too much. Power reeling
and live bait is working in the mouth of Big Creek right out in the main river channel also. Take a look at the deep water out in fro not main lake
marker #10 around Lake Lanier Islands too."

Hell, if I'd jumped on all the dames I'm supposed to have jumped on, I'd have had no time to go fishing.
