2010 Fun Fest

The date for this years Fun Fest has been set for August 14th. Stay tuned for more info, as we will be starting to accept participant applications in the next couple of weeks. This year there will be 60 boats in the tournament vs. 50 last year. Also, this year is lining up to be even better than last years and we hope to see a lot of you participate. The Fun Fest is truly a who's who of Lake Lanier fishing (and much of the surrounding states), but it is friendly to the weekend and casual angler as well. There will be a captains dinner the night before, and a cookout and awards ceremony afterwards. Plus all of the great raffle prizes that are as popular as the tournament itself. The Lanier Striper Club Fun Fest has been moved to September 11th. They are also looking at next years date, and may be moving it to an early-mid June date starting in 2011. I believe about 1/4 of the spots have already been filled for this year, so if your thinking about waiting until the last minute to enter, don't.

I was told today that there are only about 18 spots left open for the tournament. If you plan on paricpating you need to sign up soon. The LSC is going to use a portion of the proceeds to contibute to the purchase of the stocking tank that Nick Jamison spoke about the need for at our May meeting.
